FAQs

To keep the glow of your spray tan lasting longer follow this steps before getting a Mobile Sands spray tan:

  • Exfoliation: Exfoliate your skin thoroughly before their appointment. This removes dead skin cells and ensures a smooth surface for the tan to adhere to, resulting in a more even application.
  • Hydration: Moisturize your skin in the days leading up to their appointment helps to maintain skin hydration, which can extend the life of the tan and promote even fading.
  • Shaving/Waxing: Shave or wax at least 24 hours before their appointment to allow pores to close and any potential skin irritation to subside, ensuring a smoother tan application.
  • Avoiding Certain Products: Avoid using products like oils, lotions, and perfumes on the day of their appointment, as these can create a barrier on the skin and affect the absorption of the tanning solution.
  • Clothing Choice: Wear loose, dark-colored clothing to the appointment to minimize the risk of smudging the tan during application and development.

to keep the glow of your spray tan lasting longer follow this steps after getting a Mobile Sands spray tan:

  • Avoid Water and Sweat: Avoid water activities, sweating, or any activity that may cause them to get wet for at least 8-12 hours after the spray tan application. This allows the tan to fully develop without interference.
  • Avoid Tight Clothing: Wear loose, dark-colored clothing for the first 8-12 hours after the spray tan to prevent any rubbing or smudging of the tan.
  • Delay Showering: We recommend waiting at least 8-12 hours before showering to allow the tan to fully set. When showering, advise using lukewarm water and gentle, moisturizing body wash instead of harsh soaps.
  • Pat Dry: Gently pat their skin dry after showering rather than rubbing, as rubbing can cause the tan to fade unevenly.
  • Moisturize: Emphasize the importance of moisturizing the skin daily to maintain hydration and extend the life of the tan. Recommend using a gentle, hydrating moisturizer free from harsh chemicals or exfoliants.
  • Avoid Exfoliation: Avoid exfoliating or using products containing alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), retinol, or exfoliating beads, as these can accelerate the fading of the tan.
  • Avoid Chlorinated Water: Avoiding swimming in chlorinated pools or soaking in hot tubs, as these can cause the tan to fade more quickly.
